Smooth 3-Year Service of my Skoda Slavia: Minor Work and New Brake Pads

Was in and out of the service center within half a day before their lunch break.

BHPian audioholic recently shared this with other enthusiasts:

Got the 3yr/45k service done yesterday with the Odo at 30700kms a little short of three years. Nothing much other than an oil change and AC filter change. It was covered under SMP. No one gave a damn about all the mods I had on the car and neither did the approval for SMP/Warranty cause issues. Was in and out of the service center within half a day before their lunch break.

Only extra work was the brake pads were almost on their way out and hence got it replaced to avoid another visit to the service center later. The vendor of the brake pads have changed and now its no longer Brakes India but its imported from Czech republic. The first set of pads were replaced proactively by me somewhere around 10k mark, whereas the outgoing pads lasted 20k kms with still some life left in them in spite of me driving hard a couple of times. The first set had developed some grinding noise due to excessive glazing but the second set was okay unti yesterday. Need to see how the imported pads fare. Cost is elevated slightly by 1k. Earlier set costed 6400 and this one 7400.

Overall nothing extra done during service and no issues to fix either(since the minor niggles have been fixed on my own):
