Jawa 42 FJ spied testing sporting a single exhaust

The Jawa 42 FJ could benefit from this exhaust configuration in many ways.

The Jawa 42 FJ could soon get a major update. A prototype sporting a single-sided exhaust instead of the dual exhausts on the current bike was recently spotted testing.

The Jawa 42 FJ could benefit from this exhaust configuration in many ways. For starters, it will reduce the overall weight of the bike significantly, resulting in a better power-to-weight ratio. Besides sheer performance, the lack of weight would also have a positive impact on the handling.

Other details worth mentioning include the round LED headlamp and multi-spoke alloy wheels. The bike has a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, wide handlebars and a single-piece seat.

The new Jawa 42 FJ is expected to be powered by the same 334cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. It delivers 29 BHP and 30 Nm and comes paired with a 6-speed gearbox via a slip and assist clutch.
