Skoda Rapid now comes with 4 airbags in Style trim

Skoda has updated the Rapid sedan with 2 additional airbags. In addition to the driver and passenger airbags, the top-spec Style variant now comes with front side airbags.

The Skoda Rapid facelift was launched in November 2016 and is available in 3 variants with dual front airbags as standard. In April 2017, Skoda introduced 16-inch alloy wheels and a reversing camera on the top-spec Style trim.

The Rapid is offered with a 1.6-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 103 BHP @ 5,200-5,250 rpm and 153 NM of torque @ 3,750-3,800 rpm and a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder diesel unit that makes 108 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 250 Nm of peak torque @ 1,500-2,500 rpm. Both engines are offered with a 5-speed manual as standard. A 6-speed Tiptronic is available on the petrol while the diesel gets a 7-speed DSG gearbox.

As per the price list, the Style variant costs Rs. 10,61,230 for the 1.6-litre petrol manual version while the petrol AT costs Rs. 11,85,300. The diesel MT variant costs Rs. Rs. 12,42,713 and the diesel AT is priced at Rs. 13,56,679 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
