Skoda could postpone the launch of the Octavia

The Octavia has already started reaching dealerships across the country. The sedan is scheduled to be launched by the end of April 2021.

According to a tweet by Zac Hollis, Director, Sales and Marketing, Skoda India, the launch of 4th-gen Skoda Octavia could get postponed due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and the lockdown in Maharastra.

The Octavia has already started reaching dealerships across the country. The sedan is scheduled to be launched by the end of April 2021.

The sedan is based on the VW Group's MQB EVO platform. It is likely to come with a choice of two turbocharged petrol engines. These include a 1.5-litre TSI unit paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 2.0-litre TSI unit which could be offered with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
