Should I sell Mahindra Thar + Volkswagen Vento and get a Toyota Hilux?

I want to get rid of the Thar and Vento and get 1 car that can meet both needs.

BHPian asterix08 recently shared this with other enthusiasts.

Its a weird set of options but let me explain my requirements:

  1. I have a farm on the outskirts of Bangalore and the last 1-2 km approach road is a mud track that becomes hard to traverse during rains. Plus i stay in Bellandur and the area is all dug up and likely to be in this state for the next few years, with all the construction activity around the lake. Currently I have a Thar - Soft Top that can glide over this crappy terrain and I love that feel of not having to think twice. i have done 33K in two years and driving open top is an amazing experience.
  2. Mom is a senior citizen and hence ingress and egress + rear seat ride comfort is a huge comfort. We have a 12 year old Vento that she uses for her temple visits/ city runs and serves her well.

I want to get rid of the Thar and Vento and get 1 car that can meet both needs i.e. comfortable for mom and also can traverse the farm road/ Bellandur terrain and is also not a pain to drive around in Bangalore traffic.

And hence the above options - Hilux is great for the farm but it's not senior citizen friendly. Even city driving maybe a challenge and also no sun roof is a bit of bummer. The big pro is that it can take any terrain that is thrown at it.

Not able to get any feedback on Tucson - Diesel AWD offroad capabilities. The ground clearance might be an issue, but other than that does anyone have offfroading experience with the Tucson and can it handle some rough terrains? The rear seat ride comfort, boot space and sun roof are huge plus.

I cannot stretch my budget beyond 45L, and in no rush. Will take a few months to explore, if there are any other suggestions.
