A short Independence Day ride with Suzuki V-Strom riders to Wayanad

The team had arranged a special cake for this occasion. Everyone interacted with the elderly people. A small gift was handed over to each tenant of Good Hope.

BHPian Mrs&Mr_Shenu recently shared this with other enthusiasts.

CEE PEE Suzuki Showroom at Kochi organised a ride on the 78th Independence Day. Due to a recent natural calamity at Mundakai, Wayanad, it was planned as a short ride and confined to Kochi itself.

This was my first experience with a show-room organised drive. Though I paid for it, someone else took the ride on my behalf. Still, the experience is refreshing and the effort put in by the showroom staff must be appreciated. They created a dedicated group and followed up diligently. Confirmation details were shared regularly through WhatsApp to keep the interest alive. There was no sales pitch, service offer, or "Do this and get that offer" of any kind. In that sense, this was purely a connection between Suzuki and the owners.

NOTE: This is not a post to publish a good review of the showroom or its promotion. I am sharing the experience on behalf of the person who attended this ride.

The riders are expected to be available at the showroom at around 7 AM in the morning. The enthusiasm was evident, a crowd gathered slowly and steadily. Bikes were arranged in 2 rows with Busa sitting right in center.

After gathering vehicle details, the ride started. The speed was around 20 - 30 Km/h as this was through National Highway 66 and Lead by the Sole Busa from the showroom (2nd Busa joined later).

Breakfast was arranged at Luxo, Kochi at Palarivattam. After the heavy breakfast, the team gathered around and moved towards Kochi City slowly covered the major roads, and gathered attention while they did it.

The only complaint: Slow speed of the ride (These machines are a minimum quarter Litre and required to be pushed. right?)

Destination:

This settlement was chosen so that all riders can share their freedom and experience with a generation whose experiences/priorities are way different.

The team had arranged a special cake for this occasion. Everyone interacted with the elderly people. A small gift was handed over to each tenant of Good Hope.

Conclusion:

Everyone gathered around for group selfies, chatted around with their experience, checking out other vehicles. This was truly an Independence Day to remember.

Fellow Bhpian @MilesAndSmiles sir was also part of the ride and some of the pictures are shared by him.
