Scoop! Maruti Celerio X brochure leaked

Maruti is will launch the Celerio X - a pseudo SUV based on the Celerio hatchback soon. While Maruti is yet to announce the launch date, a leaked brochure has revealed all its features and variant-wise details.

A previously leaked ARAI document had revealed the variants of the Celerio X. We can now confirm that it will be available in eight variants - Vxi, Vxi (O), Vxi AMT, Vxi AMT (O), Zxi, Zxi (O), Zxi AMT and Zxi AMT (O).

The Celerio X gets a black body kit comprising of a matte black rear bumper with a silver scuff plate, black wheel arch cladding and side mouldings as well as a dual-tone front bumper with black trim around the fog lamp pods and a new grille. It also gets black ORVM housings with integrated turn signals, roof rails, blacked-out B-pillar, black door handles and a rear wiper. Inside, you get patterned seats with orange accents.

If you look at the dimensions, the Celerio X is slightly longer and wider than the standard car. It measures 3,715 mm in length, 1,635 mm in width and 1,565 mm in height. That said, wheelbase is identical at 2,425 mm. It has a 235 litre boot and a 35 litre fuel tank. Minimum ground clearance is 120 mm.

ORVM mounted turn signals, tilt steering, steering mounted audio controls, keyless entry, rear wiper, washer and defogger are available on the Zxi and Zxi (O) variants while black 14-inch alloy wheels, fog lamps and height adjustable driver's seat is only offered on Zxi MT (O) variant.

In terms of safety features, driver side airbag is standard across all variants. ABS and passenger side airbag is offered on Vxi (O) and Zxi (O) trim levels.

The Celerio X is mechanically identical to the standard car. It uses the same 998cc, 3-cylinder petrol engine which makes 67 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 90 Nm @ 3,500 rpm. The model will be offered with a choice of a 5-speed manual gearbox or 5-speed AMT. The car rides on 165/70 R14 tyres.

The Celerio X will be available in five exterior colour options - Orange, Blue, Brown, White and Grey.
