China-based BYD is gearing up to launch its second all-electric car, the Atto 3, this festive season. More details of the electric SUV have now surfaced online, thanks to a leaked brochure.
The Atto 3 measures 4,455 mm in length, 1,875 mm in width, 1,615 mm in height and its wheelbase is 2,720 mm. The car has a 440-litre boot and a kerb weight of 1,750 kg.
The Atto 3 uses a permanent magnet synchronous motor with an output of 201 BHP and 310 Nm. It can propel the car from 0-100 km/h in 7.3 seconds.
The car is powered by a 49.92 kWh BYD Blade Battery offering a range of 345 km (WLTP cycle). The Extended Range version uses a 60.49 kWh battery that offers a range of 420 km on a single charge.
In terms of features, the BYD Atto 3 comes with a panoramic sunroof, one-touch open/close tailgate, heated and foldable ORVMs, LED headlamps and LED taillights.
On the inside, the car comes with features such as a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, electrically adjustable front seats, wireless phone charger, automatic climate control, and a 5-inch digital instrument cluster.
The Atto 3 is also equipped with a host of safety features including a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, front and rear collision warning, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, rear cross traffic alert and rear cross traffic brake.
