Scoop! Honda Amaze variant details out

The variant details for the second generation of the Honda Amaze have been revealed ahead of the car's launch in India. The launch will take place on May 16, 2018. The new Amaze will be offered in 4 variants - E, S, V and VX. It will come with a choice of petrol and diesel engines.

Key safety features like dual airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, ISOFIX child safety seat anchor points and reverse parking sensors are offered as standard in the new Amaze. 

The base E variant gets a chrome grille, dual-tone interiors with a piano black console, air-conditioning and driver side auto down window. In addition to these features, the S variant gets body coloured door handles, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs with LED turn signals and a shark fin antenna. It also comes with keyless entry, tilt steering with audio controls, height adjustable driver seat, adjustable front seat headrests, rear arm rest with cup holders and a 2-DIN audio system with 4 speakers, AM / FM / Aux-in, USB and Bluetooth.

The Amaze V and V CVT variants get headlights with LED positioning lamps, 15-inch alloy wheels, front fog lamps, engine start / stop button, automatic climate control with outside temperature display, electromagnetic trunk opening and welcome light. In addition to this, the CVT model gets paddle shifters.

Finally, the top-spec VX variant comes with all the aforementioned features as well as a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, voice recognition, cruise control and driver side window with one-touch auto up and down function and pinch guard. 

The new Amaze will be available with a 1.2-litre, petrol engine which produces 89 BHP and 110 Nm and a 1.5-litre, diesel with 99 BHP and 200 Nm of torque. Both engines will be offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox or a CVT. The diesel CVT has the same 1.5-litre engine in a lower state of tune. It produces 79 BHP and 160 Nm of torque.
