According to a media report, Tata Motors is likely to launch the Nexon EV in select cities. Initially, the car could be offered in Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, New Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai.
The report suggests that Tata will introduce the Nexon EV in other cities gradually. Each car is expected to be sold with a charger. The company is also said to be installing charging stations at its dealerships.
The Nexon EV is expected to use Tata's Ziptron technology. It is likely to be powered by liquid-cooled lithium-ion batteries. Both, the battery pack and electric motor are expected to come with an 8-year standard warranty.
The Nexon EV will be unveiled on December 17, 2019.
