According to a Mitsubishi dealer in Chennai, the new Outlander is likely to be launched in January 2018. The SUV will be imported as a completely built unit (CBU) and is expected to be priced at around Rs. 30 lakh (ex-showroom). Deliveries are expected to start in March 2018.

Back in August 2017, Mitsubishi India updated their website with the details of the new Outlander. The new model features a revised front end with Mitsubishi’s “Dynamic Shield” design. It comes with a twin-slat chrome grille and chrome trim around the front bumper. According to the carmaker, the new design is more aerodynamic than before. Inside, the Outlander gets a new dashboard with piano black trim and a 6.1-inch touchscreen with a Rockford Fosgate audio system as well as dual-zone climate control and key less entry.

The new Outlander will be available with a petrol engine, however detailed specifications of the engine are not yet known. That said, it is likely to be paired with a CVT equipped with paddle shifters and a sports mode. It will have all-wheel drive and features like hill start assist, auto hold function and active stability control. Other features might include ABS with EBD, electronic parking brake, automatic LED headlamps and rain sensing wipers.
