Rumour: Hyundai Xcent facelift to be launched in March 2017

Hyundai is working on a facelifted version of the Grand i10. The car has already been spotted testing on public roads. It is expected to be launched early next year. Now, media reports suggest that the car's compact sedan sibling - the Xcent is likely to receive a facelift as well. Hyundai will reportedly be launching the car in March 2017.

The Xcent facelift is likely to get nearly the same design changes as the Grand i10 facelift. These include a new hexagonal front grille, tweaked headlights and a restructured bumper. Reports also suggest that Hyundai will be making changes to the rear end of the sedan, with the aim of making it look bigger. These changes are being incorporated after receiving feedback about the current model's looks.

On the inside, the dashboard layout is likely to be similar to that of the model currently on sale. The higher variants are likely to get a touchscreen infotainment system that will support navigation.

The Xcent is likely to retain the powertrain options of the current model. These include a 1.1-litre diesel and a 1.2-litre petrol.
