Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 production begins as launch nears

The bike weighs 196 kg (kerb weight), resulting in a significantly higher power-to-weight ratio than the current model.

The first Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 has rolled off the assembly line ahead of its official launch. The new ADV is all set to go on sale on November 7, 2023.

Earlier this week, Royal Enfield shared the first image of the Himalayan 452 on social media, giving us our first proper look at the upcoming bike.

The Himalayan 452 features a round LED headlamp with a high-set front fender and a 2-piece seat. The bike is equipped with an upside-down fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. It rides on wire-spoke wheels and has a single upswept exhaust.

The Himalayan 452 is expected to be powered by a 451.65cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, producing around 40 BHP @ 8,000 rpm and 40-45 Nm of torque. The engine will be paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The bike weighs 196 kg (kerb weight), resulting in a significantly higher power-to-weight ratio than the current model.

The Himalayan 452 will compete with the likes of the Yezdi Adventure, KTM 390 Adventure, and BMW G 310 GS.
