Renault Lodgy launched in India at Rs. 8.19 lakh

French car maker, Renault has launched its multi-purpose vehicle called the Lodgy in India at an introductory price of Rs. 8.19 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

The Lodgy is powered by a 1.5 liter K9K diesel engine that powers other Renault and Nissan cars. Like the Duster, the Lodgy will be available in two states of tune - 84 BHP and 109 BHP mated to a 5-speed and 6-speed transmission respectively. It will be available in both 7 and 8 seat configurations.

This car is stuffed with features such as cruise control, satellite navigation with a touchscreen music system, reverse camera, electrically adjustable ORVMs, rear air-con, 15" alloy wheels, front fog lamps etc. Safety features such as ABS and dual airbags are available on the higher variants too.

Internationally, this MPV positioned below the Duster and the case is the same in India too. It is priced almost a lakh lesser than its SUV sibling.
