Quick review after the 1st 1000 km with my X440: Accessories installed

Fuel economy from my recent 500 km trip shows as 33 km/l.

BHPian Thmh recently shared this with other enthusiasts.

The bike completed 1000 km. The first service was done at 520kms and it cost me Rs 2,700.

I was surprised to know that the engine casing had to be removed for cleaning and inspection as part of a routine check in the first service. Nevertheless, the bike is performing flawlessly.

The engine feels very refined with absolutely no vibrations when ridden to 110 km. I haven’t ridden it extensively beyond this speed to share my feedback. Gear shifting is smooth too.

The only sore point is the front suspension bottoming out when you hit a speed breaker without slowing down or when you go over a pothole.

The torque is great and the exhaust note does get better when you are 30 minutes into the ride.

Fuel consumption from my recent 500 km trip shows as 33 km/l. The fuel indicator as with most bikes isn’t accurate and can’t be relied on. The touring seat feels much better than the stock for my torso.

Accessories installed so far:

  • Crash guard
  • Sump guard
  • Top box rack
  • Side stand extender
  • Visor
  • Touring seat
  • Saddle Stay
  • Top Box
  • Grip Puppies
