A new spy image of the next generation Mahindra Thar appears to show its production-ready exterior.
The latest image appears to be of a close-to-production test mule. It has circular headlamps and grille with vertical slats. The turn indicators are likely to be positioned on the fenders, while circular fog lamps have been provided on the front bumper.
The fenders have a black plastic cladding. A side step has been integrated below the doors and joins the front and rear wheel arches. The car has large ORVMs, bonnet clamps and is riding on black 5-spoke alloy wheels.
The new Thar is expected to be offered with a 2.0-litre mStallion petrol engine producing 187 BHP and 380 Nm of torque. It could also get a 138 BHP 2.2-litre diesel engine option. Transmission options might include an automatic and a 6-speed manual.
