Porsche Macan EV launched in India at Rs 1.65 crore

Bookings for the Macan EV Turbo are now open, and deliveries will commence in H2 of 2024.

Porsche Macan EV has gone on sale in India just days following its global debut. The carmaker is offering the top-spec Turbo variant in India at a price of Rs 1.65 crore (ex-showroom).

Bookings for the Macan EV Turbo are now open, and deliveries are said to commence in the second half of this year.

The Macan EV is longer, wider and has a larger wheelbase compared to the ICE version. The new design incorporates a set of quad-LED DRLs and LED headlamps positioned on the front bumper. The SUV has a coupe-like side profile with LED taillamps and an LED light bar at the rear. It also gets active air intakes at the front, a retractable rear spoiler and a flat floor.

Inside, the Macan EV gets a curved 12.6-inch digital instrument cluster and dual 10.9-inch screens, one in the centre console and the other on the passenger side.

The Macan EV is based on an 800-volt architecture and features a dual-motor setup. The Macan Turbo packs 630 BHP and 1,129 Nm, which enables the car to accelerate from 0-98 km/h in 3.1 seconds. It has a top speed of 259 km/h.

Porsche claims the Macan EV Turbo can cover 591 km on a single charge (WLTP cycle). The battery supports DC fast-charging speeds up to 270 kW and can be charged from 10-80% in 21 minutes.

The Macan EV also comes in an entry-level Macan 4 guise. However, Porsche India has not revealed the prices of this variant yet.
