Next generation Hyundai Verna spied up close

The car-parazzi in South Korea have just snapped close range images of the next generation Hyundai Verna. The face-lifted version of the C-segment sedan will be launched in India next month, but Hyundai is already developing the new edition for global markets.

The gold shaded test mule in the image has camouflaged most of the changes on the exterior, but what we can see are restyled dual-tone ORVMs, a sun-roof, restyled horizontal tail lights and more aggressively designed headlights - possibly projectors. The front grille has been changed as well and the new Verna's design seems to draw a lot of inspiration from the Genesis luxury car.

At the back, the car could get a boot lip spoiler, while the number plate is housed in the rear bumper. Parking sensors are likely to be offered as an option and the car is expected to be larger in length as well.

Interior changes remain unknown, but what we can see are grey-black upholstered seats along with grey interior fabric/plastic panels. Power-train options remain speculation for now as does the time of launch in India. A few reports suggest a launch in 2016, given that the next Delhi auto expo will be held that year.
