Next-gen Toyota Yaris caught testing in Thailand

The Toyota Yaris was sold in India from 2018 to 2021.

he first images of the next-generation Toyota Yaris have surfaced online. The test mule was spotted in Thailand ahead of its global debut, scheduled for August 2022.

The next-gen Yaris (codenamed: D92A) will be based on the modular Daihatsu New Generation Architecture (DNGA). Reports suggest that the car could be offered with petrol-hybrid powertrains.

The spy images suggest, the new Yaris will feature a large radiator grille up front with slim headlamps on either side. Unlike the more rounded design of the previous model, the new Yaris appears to have more angular surfaces with crisp lines.

The Toyota Yaris was sold in India from 2018 to 2021. It is still unclear if the new model will be introduced here.
