Next-gen Hyundai Verna to get 65 safety features, Level 2 ADAS

The upcoming Verna will be equipped with 30 standard safety features. The car will also get Hyundai SmartSense with 17 Level-2 ADAS features.

Hyundai has announced that the upcoming Verna will be equipped with 30 standard safety features. The car will also get Hyundai SmartSense with 17 Level-2 ADAS features.

All variants of the next-gen Verna will be offered with 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, emergency stop signal, automatic headlamps, lane change indicator, impact sensing auto door unlock and seat belt reminder for all seats.

The Verna will also get Level-2 ADAS that uses radars mounted at the front and rear, sensors and cameras. The Hyundai SmartSense suite includes features like Forward Collision Warning, Collision Avoidance Assist (Car, Pedestrian, Cycle and Junction turning), Blind Spot Collision Warning and Collision Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Driver Attention Warning, Safe Exit Warning, cruise control, Lane Following Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning and Collision Avoidance Assist.

The Verna’s long list of safety features also includes ESC with VSM, Hill Start Assist Control, electronic parking brake, front parking sensors, cornering lamps, TPMS and disc brakes on all four corners.

The Verna will be available in four variants: EX, S, SX and SX (O). It will be offered with an all-new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT and a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit paired with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed IVT.
