Next-gen Hyundai Creta spotted in China

First spy images of the next generation Hyundai Creta (ix25) have surfaced online. The compact SUV was spotted testing in China.

The spy images suggest that the new Creta is likely to borrow styling cues from the new Santa Fe. It appears to have a cascade grille at the front. It could get LED DRLs placed on either side, while the headlamps and fog lamps could be placed lower down in separate pods. The test vehicle can be seen sporting dual-tone alloy wheels. On the inside, the new Creta is likely to get dual-tone interiors with silver trim along the door pads along with silver or chrome door handles and black and beige seats with what appears to be red stitching.

According to a media report, the next-generation Creta is likely to get BS-VI compliant powertrains. It is rumoured to debut in 2020. A 7-seat version of the Creta is also reported to be in the works.

The new Creta will compete with the Tata Harrier, Mahindra XUV500 and the recently launched Nissan Kicks in the Indian market.
