Next-gen Honda Civic interior spied

The interior of the next generation Honda Civic has just been spied. While most test mules have a thick camouflage on the inside, this one just had a towel on the dashboard. Essential components though, can be seen with ease and the spy shots give us an idea of what to expect in the new Civic’s cabin.

On the inside, we see a 3-spoke steering wheel, a redesigned centre console, new AC vents, a low set driver armrest, and Honda may have dropped the multi layered dashboard, which earlier housed the digital speedometer. Other features include steering mounted controls, a touchscreen infotainment display and automatic climate control.

The Civic will be offered with a 1.5L, direct-injection, turbo-VTEC engine that can be mated with a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT automatic. It was earlier believed that Honda would launch a hybrid and CNG Civic as well, but those models have been dropped.
