41000kms update

How time flies, and how soon does the mileage pile on! It's not even been a year and I have already clocked 10,000 km on the car since I got her home. This is mostly due to the many highway runs. I've been noticing this message on the console stating service is due in 1200kms and when I checked it was the rear brake pad warning.

I reached out to Mr.Aftab at Deutsche Motoren and got an appointment fixed. The car was sent in the morning and was delivered to me by evening. I had not got BSI, so paid this directly. Planning to get the BSI package before the next annual service. The workmanship was really good, they sent in the video clip after receiving the car highlighting the areas of work and then sent another clip before sending her out mentioning the work that was carried out. They did not push for any additional stuff, only asked if wheel alignment/wheel balancing needed to be done and I declined stating I get it done at Madhu's.

The cost for the rear brake pads, wear indicator, labour, etc., came to 20,885. Quite reasonable when compared to the cost of the same done on my Laura.

iDrive indicates the next service for an oil change is due in approx 3000kms, will post back after that is done.

Meanwhile, I've also gotten the ownership transfer done to my name and have gotten the paperwork for RTO in KA done. Huge thanks to Mohit and his trusty contact at Bird Automotive for getting the ownership transfer done. It took a bit of time, but I did not have to stress over anything else other than submitting the required documents from my side.
