Maruti Suzuki is developing a three-row version of the Grand Vitara. The new model, codenamed Y17, was first spotted in December last year. Now, new spy images have surfaced online that reveal fresh details.
The 7-seater Grand Vitara is expected to borrow some styling cues from the e Vitara. The SUV appears to have connected LED taillights similar to the EV, while the front features headlamps positioned lower down on the bumper and different DRLs.
The 7-seater version has a noticeably longer rear overhang and a larger rear quarter glass. The test vehicle was also sporting 2-tone alloy wheels of new design.
The 3-row Grand Vitara will be based on the same C platform as the standard model. It is expected to be powered by the same powertrains as well: 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 1.5-litre petrol-hybrid.
