Michael Schumacher's F1 collection to be displayed in museum

A new Motorworld Museum in Cologne, Germany will soon start displaying items from Michael Schumacher's personal F1 collection. The museum, which is located near the driver's home town of Kerpen, will open for the public from 2017, without any admission charges.

Items that will be showcased at the new Motorworld Museum will include various F1 cars that he raced in during his career, some of his personal sports cars, and even karts from his early racing career. A few of his world driver championship trophies will also be on display. This has been made possible after Michael's family entered an agreement with the Motorworld museum to make his collection public.

Schumacher is one of the most celebrated drivers in the history of Formula 1. He has 7 championship titles to his name, out of which 5 were won consecutively from 2000-2004. He won 91 races in his 19-year long career.

The German driver retired from F1 in 2012. Unfortunately, he suffered an accident during a skiing trip with his family in 2013, sustaining severe head injuries. He hasn't made a public appearance since then.
