A couple of Mercedes EQC 400 electric SUVs have been spotted outside a Delhi dealership. The car is scheduled to be launched later this year. It will be the German brand's first all-electric offering in the Indian market.
The EQC 400 is based on a modified GLC platform. It features a gloss black grille with wraparound headlights and a strip of LED daytime running lights that stretches across the front of the car on the upper edge of the grille. At the rear, the car has wraparound LED tail lights with an LED light bar in the centre.
The EQC 400 comes with a freestanding digital display for the instrument cluster and an MBUX infotainment system. The SUV can seat up to 5 people.
Two electric motors - one each on the front and rear axles, power the EQC SUV. The combined output is 402 BHP and 760 Nm. The car comes with an 80 kWh lithium-ion battery that is claimed to offer a range of 445-471 km (NEDC cycle). Mercedes-Benz claims that the EQC will accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.1 seconds and hit a top speed of 180 km/h.
