Mercedes-Benz has launched its most affordable electric SUV for the Indian market. The EQA is available in a single variant – EQA 250+ priced at Rs 66 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Mercedes EQA is essentially a pure-electric version of the GLA SUV, and is positioned below the EQB. It has a unique front and rear design, which helps differentiate it from the ICE version. The rear features slim LED taillights connected by an LED light bar. The number plate is mounted lower down on the bumper. The SUV comes with 19-inch AMG alloy wheels as standard.

The interior of the Mercedes EQA is identical to that of the GLA. It features dual 10.25-inch screens, a 3-spoke steering wheel, turbine-style air-conditioning vents and ambient lighting. Safety features include 7- airbags, blind spot monitoring and active brake assist.

The EQA 250+ is a single-motor variant offering a peak output of 188 BHP and 385 Nm. The car uses a 70.5 kWh battery pack offering a range of 560 km (WLTP cycle). The battery can be charged from 10-80% in 35 minutes using a 100 kW DC fast charger. The car comes with an 11 kW AC charger.
