Mercedes-Benz S-Class Maestro Edition launched

The luxury sedan now comes with the latest version the Mercedes me connected car technology. Using the mobile app, owners can track real-time location of the car, remotely lock or unlock, open sunroof, set speed alerts, and more.

Mercedes-Benz has launched a new version of the flagship S-Class sedan. Dubbed as the Maestro Edition, the car comes with additional features including new connected car technology. The Maestro Edition is priced at Rs. 1.51 crore (ex-showroom).

The luxury sedan now comes with the latest version the Mercedes me connected car technology. Using the mobile app, owners can track real-time location of the car, remotely lock or unlock, open sunroof, set speed alerts, and more. The car also gets e-call / SOS feature across India via a dedicated call centre. It also comes with Alexa and Google home integration. Older cars from 2007 onwards can get connected car tech via the Mercedes me adapter. The Mercedes me gets over the air (OTA) Software Updates.

Apart from the connected features, the S-Class Maestro Edition also gets dual pane panoramic sunroof with independent switchable transparency options, front memory seats with 3 positions and positions for steering and exterior mirrors, front passenger seat adjustment from driver’s console and a new “Nut Brown” leather interior with brown wood trim. The Maestro Edition is offered in a diamond white exterior colour.

This S-Class is powered but the 3.0-litre OM656 inline 6-cylinder diesel engine rated at 282 BHP and 600 Nm. The claimed 0-100 km/h time is 6 seconds while the car can reach an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.

Other features include radar based assistance system, multi-beam LED headlight, 13-speaker Burmester sound system and wireless charging for front and rear amongst others.
