2026 Mercedes-Benz S-Class facelift spied hiding massive grille

Mercedes-Benz has yet to officially announce the powertrain options for the upcoming S-Class facelift.

Mercedes-Benz seems to be working on an update for its flagship ICE model, the S-Class.

Ahead of its unveiling, a prototype of the Mercedes S-Class facelift has been spied covered in camouflage, indicating a number of significant changes, especially around the front, wherein the camouflage seems to be hiding a massive new grille. This also translates to a new front bumper design, as well as a revamped set of LED headlamps on either side.

Mercedes is also expected to introduce a new rear bumper with updated LED tail lights. It could also feature some tweaks to the reflectors and the exhaust tips at the bottom.

Inside, the new S-Class facelift is said to get an all-new dashboard featuring the brand's Hyperscreen display with three screens: the digital instrument cluster, the central infotainment and another for the front passenger. Mercedes could also update the cabin with more features, tech and other creature comforts for both the front and rear passengers.

Mercedes-Benz has yet to officially announce the powertrain options for the upcoming S-Class facelift. Being a mid-cycle refresh, it could just carry forward the current set of engines and transmissions, though.
