Mercedes-Benz G 350d launched at Rs. 1.5 crore

Mercedes-Benz has launched a new entry-level variant of the G-Class called the G 350d. It is priced at Rs. 1.5 crore (ex-showroom, India).

The G 350d is positioned below the AMG G63. The second-generation model retains its boxy proportions. It features circular LED headlights with LED daytime running lights, flared wheel arches and LED tail lights. On the inside, the SUV comes with a digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel. Other features include electrically adjustable front seats, 3-zone automatic climate control, ambient lighting, cruise control, automatic headlights and rain sensing wipers.

The G 350d is powered by a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder diesel engine that produces 282 BHP @ 3,400-4,600 rpm and 600 Nm @ 1,200-3,200 rpm. Power is sent to all four wheels via a 9-speed automatic transmission. It has locking differentials and a low-range gearbox.

The G 350d comes equipped with a host of safety aides including 8 airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, ESC, traction control and hill-start assist.
