Mercedes-Benz CLA & CLA 45 AMG Shooting Brake unveiled

Mercedes-Benz has officially revealed the Shooting Brake version of their smallest sedan, the CLA-Class. The wagon's length x width x height dimensions come in at 4630 mm x 1777 mm x 1435 mm. Luggage space stands at 496 litres which is 25 litres more than the CLA-sedan. Dropping down the seats provides a storage space of 1354 litres.

The CLA Shooting Brake will be available with a choice of 2 diesel & 3 petrol engines, including the CLA 45 AMG.

The diesel CLA 200 CDI uses a 2.1-litre, four cylinder engine that makes 136 bhp & 300 Nm of torque. The same engine makes 177 bhp and 350 Nm of torque on the CLA 220 CDI.

The CLA 180 petrol is powered by a 1.6-litre, four cylinder engine that makes 122 bhp and 200 Nm of torque. The same engine makes 156 bhp and 250 Nm of torque on the CLA 200. The CLA 250 uses a 2.0-litre, four cylinder engine that makes 211 bhp and 350 Nm of torque. The CLA 250 is available with the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system as well.

Under the hood of the CLA 45 AMG Shooting Brake is a 2.0-litre, four cylinder, turbo-petrol engine that makes 360 bhp and 450 Nm of torque. All versions are equipped as standard with the ECO start/stop function.

Diesel AWD variants in the form of the CLA 200 CDI 4MATIC and CLA 220 CDI 4MATIC will follow in September 2015. The car goes on sale in January 2015 while deliveries begin in March 2015.
