The new Mercedes-AMG E 63 S retains the 4.4-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine. The engine produce 595 BHP and 850 Nm and is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system.

The E 63 S gets a few cosmetic updates similar to the regular E Class. The car retains its sporty appearance and features a larger grille and headlamps that give it a more focused look. The rear features a boot spoiler, integrated diffuser and quad exhausts.

On the inside, the AMG E 63 S gets the latest version of the MBUX infotainment system. The carmaker claims to have tweaked the AMG Dynamic Select, which adjusts drive modes, ESP and all-wheel drive settings. Further, the AMG Dynamics Plus package is now offered as standard on the E 63 S and is optional in the base trim. It comes with a Race mode and drift function.
