Maruti temporarily suspends production at both its plants

The wait for your new Maruti car might just get longer. In an official statement released by Maruti Suzuki, production of vehicles at both - the Manesar facility as well as the Gurgaon plant, has been temporarily suspended.

Due to the agitations in Rohtak and other areas of Haryana, supply of components has been disrupted. As a result, Maruti Suzuki has temporarily discontinued production of cars starting February 20, 2016.

Operations are likely to resume once the supply of components is streamlined. Together, these plants produce 5,000 vehicles every day.
