Maruti Suzuki releases teaser for Ciaz's move to NEXA

The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz will soon be officially moved to the NEXA dealership chain. The sedan is currently being retailed through regular Maruti dealerships. While no specific date has been revealed to mark the changeover, Maruti Suzuki has released a teaser image, indicating that the official switch will be made soon.

The automaker has already started using NEXA-like badges on the sedan, which include the Ciaz moniker placed on the right side of the boot lid, while the Maruti Suzuki and variant badges have been eliminated. Variant line-up for the NEXA-based Ciaz has also been leaked, indicating that there will be five trim levels on offer - which include the 4 regular NEXA variants i.e. Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha, and a new S (Sport) variant.

No mechanical changes will be made to the Ciaz during its shift to NEXA. It will thus continue to be powered by the 1.4-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engines. Both these engines will be available with a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard, while the petrol will also be offered with a 4-speed AT in the Delta, Zeta and Alpha trims.
