Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift: details and images

Another image of the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift has surfaced on the internet. This time, the changes to the rear of the car have been revealed.

The image of what is believed to be the ZDI+ variant of the Ertiga, indicates that the MPV gets a redesigned rear bumper. While Maruti has provided reverse parking sensors, it appears to have left out the rear fog lamp, which is located at the centre of the bumper in the current model. Above the number plate housing on the tailgate, is a thick chrome strip with Ertiga embossed on it. Apart from these changes, the rear of the car appears to be unchanged.

Changes at the front include a prominent grille with thick chrome slats, a restyled front bumper and chrome inserts in the fog lamp housings. The sides of the car appear unchanged except for the addition of black plastic mouldings on the doors.

Coming to the interiors, the Ertiga could get new upholstery, automatic climate control, a start/stop button and an updated infotainment system from the Swift facelift. The MPV also gets I-Key entry.

The Ertiga facelift is expected to use the same engines as the current model. However, these could be tuned to deliver better fuel efficiency. There are rumours that an automated manual transmission will be offered as well.

The Ertiga facelift is expected to be launched in June 2015.
