Maruti to launch Dzire facelift next month

Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to launch as many as nine products in 2015. The first among them will be a facelifted version of the Dzire compact sedan. According to a report by Business Standard, the car is scheduled to be launched in the month of February.

The refreshed Dzire gets cosmetic changes such as a new grille with a thick chrome strip, smoked headlamps and a redesigned front bumper with larger fog lamp housings, which are lined with chrome. The car is also likely to get redesigned alloy wheels and minor changes at the rear.

The interiors of the Dzire are expected to get changes in line with those made to the Swift hatchback such as a tweaked dashboard, new upholstery, a keyless entry and go system (engine start / stop button) and a new infotainment system with steering-mounted controls. The car could also get reverse parking sensors and electrically foldable ORVMs.

The Dzire is expected to continue with the same engines as the current model. However, like the Swift, it is likely to be tuned for better fuel efficiency.
