Malaysian GP: Vettel victorious for Ferrari!

A dream come true for Sebastian Vettel as he clinches his first win for Ferrari at the Sepang Gran Prix. After placing third at the Australian GP, Vettel stunned reigning champion Louis Hamilton and got the prancing horse its first win since the 2013 Spanish GP.

The podium though, ended with a Mercedes majority as Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg placed second and third respectively. Rosberg even managed to get the quickest lap of the race. Kimi Raikkonen grabbed fourth place for Ferrari and came in 54 seconds off Vettel. Valtteri Bottas placed fifth for Williams, after overtaking team-mate Felipe Massa at lap 55. Toro Rosso gained the seventh and eighth positions, with 17 year old Max Verstappen becoming the youngest driver with world championship points to his name.

Danill Kvyat and Daniel Ricciardo placed ninth and tenth for Red Bull. Force India’s Nico Hulkenberg made contact with Kvyat’s car, making the Red Bull driver spin out, while Sergio Perez spun out Lotus’s Romain Grosjean. Both Force India drivers received 10 second penalties for their indiscretions and placed 13th and 14th. Up next on the race calendar is the Shanghai GP which will be held from 10th-12th April.
