Earlier this week, Mahindra announced the name of its upcoming SUV. Called the XUV700, the new model is essentially the next-generation XUV500.
The carmaker has now released a short promotional video announcing the new model. The announcement video talks about the development process of the XUV700, right from the design phase to durability testing.
The XUV700 will be based on the W601 platform. It features a completely revamped exterior design featuring striking LED daytime running lights. On the interior, the car gets a Mercedes-like dual-screen setup. The car will also get an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) which includes features like autonomous emergency braking, parallel park assist, adaptive cruise control and forward-collision warning.
The XUV700 will be positioned above the XUV500 in Mahindra's line-up. The latter is unlikely to be discontinued.
