Mahindra Thar Roxx waiting period drops to 6 months

The waiting period for the Thar 3-door is around 2 months.

Mahindra has been steadily ramping up production of the Thar Roxx. As a result, the waiting period for the SUV has reduced from up to 15 months in November 2024 to just 6 months in May 2025.

This month, the waiting period for the Thar Roxx varies between 4 to 6 months depending on the variant. The waiting period for the MX3 and MX5 variants is said to be around 4 months, while that of the top-spec AX7 L trim is 6 months. The base MX1 trim also has a waiting period of 6 months.

The Thar Roxx is available with two engine options. These include a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. Both engines are offered with a choice of a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission. Four-wheel drive is available on the diesel variants.

The waiting period for the Thar 3-door is around 2 months. Those looking to buy the regular Thar will be pleased to know that the waiting period for the RWD variants is up to 2 months for the diesel version and just over 2 months for the petrol version.
