Mahindra Scorpio undisguised interiors spied

A few days ago, undisguised pictures of the exteriors of the new Scorpio were shared by a Team-BHP fan. Now a MotorBeam reader has shared undisguised pictures of the interiors of the new Scorpio. The dashboard design is all new and gone is the grey and beige theme which has been replaced by black and beige. The new interiors appear more modern and upmarket when compared to those on the outgoing model.

The steering wheel looks similar to the one found on the XUV500 and has a flattish horn pad with steering mounted buttons. The meter dials appear to be small and the earlier images revealed that they will sport a blue back light and a new digital MID. It seems to be equipped with tyre pressure monitoring system and a differential lock. The electronic outside rear view mirror control knob is placed at the bottom right of the dashboard beside the headlight adjustment leveler and buttons for the fuel lid opener and defogger.

Chrome inserts around the rectangular air-con vents add a premium touch. Even the ugly wood trim seems to have been replaced by a gloss black finish on the centre console, housing the touchscreen infotainment system and the climate control air-con knobs. What is noteworthy is that the power window switches have been moved to the door providing better ergonomics. All the buttons seem to be of L size, befitting the SUVs butch character. Even the rear air-con vent console is re-designed and now comes with a nifty storage area.

The next-generation Mahindra Scorpio is scheduled to be launched on September 25, 2014; pre-bookings for the same have already begun.
