A test mule of the upcoming Mahindra S101 has been spotted once again. The spy images suggest the car with Chevrolet Beat-like rear door handles, which are located in line with the rear windows rather than on the metal part of the door.

The S101 is also seen with production-ready wraparound tail lamps. The car in the images has wheel covers and no rear windshield wiper, indicating that it is not likely to be the top end variant.

It is rumoured that could use the name XUV100 for the S101. The company is reported to have registered the internet domain www.mahindraxuv100.com.

The XUV100 will have a monocoque construction. It is likely to come with 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines. Both the engines are expected to be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The diesel version could be available with an optional automated manual transmission as well.
