Mahindra KUV100 NXT spotted at dealership

The upcoming Mahindra KUV100 facelift dubbed, the KUV100 NXT has been spotted at a dealership.

According to a video posted on YouTube, the top-spec variant of the KUV100 NXT will be the K8. In terms of styling, the KUV100 facelift gets a new front bumper with an integrated silver scuff plate and fog lamps with black plastic surrounds. The new small grille on top is blocked and isn’t an air intake like the previous model. The grille also gets six claw-like inserts finished in chrome. The headlamp clusters are of similar shape, but have a twin-pod structure which merge into the black trim around the front fender.

The squared-off wheel arches house new diamond-cut, 15-inch alloy wheels. Black plastic cladding around the wheel arches has been increased in size as compared to the outgoing model. The turn signals have been moved from the front fender and are now integrated in the ORVMs. The rear door handles are now finished in black instead of silver. Moving to the rear, the new model gets twin-pod tail lamps with a clear lens and a revised rear bumper with re-shaped reflectors. A cover has been added between the rear spoiler and the rear windshield, probably to aid aerodynamics.

Inside, the KUV100 NXT retains the same dashboard layout as the outgoing model although it gets a black treatment as opposed to the dual tone black and beige. Mahindra has also added what looks like a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system on the centre console. The climate control knobs have been reduced from three to one and the NXT gets dedicated buttons for those operations.

Media reports suggest that the KUV100 NXT will receive updated engines that are rumoured to be more fuel efficient. At present, Mahindra offers a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine which produces 82 BHP and 115 Nm of torque and a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder diesel which makes 77 BHP and 190 Nm of torque.
