Jeep confirms late 2025 debut for all-new Cherokee

The new Cherokee will be built on Stellantis’ new STLA large platform.

Jeep has confirmed that the all-new Cherokee SUV will debut in late 2025. The fifth generation of the SUV was discontinued in 2023.

From the released image, the new Cherokee features Jeep’s latest design language, which is also seen on the Wagoneer S and the new Compass. The Cherokee retains the trademark 7-slot grille and has a rugged stance overall. There are new headlights with signature LED detailing and chunky alloy wheels. The bonnet also seems to be more flatter compared to its predecessors. The rear is not visible in the picture but styling similar to that of the new Compass can be expected.

The new Cherokee will be built on Stellantis’ new STLA large platform. Jeep has confirmed that the new Cherokee will come with a hybrid powertrain. Only ICE and all-electric versions are highly likely to be launched as well.

“The all-new Jeep Cherokee headlines our efforts to deliver more product, innovation, choice and standard content to customers than ever before,” said Bob Broderdorf, Jeep CEO. “Jeep Cherokee will boast competitive pricing that strikes at the core of the largest vehicle segment and sits perfectly between Jeep Compass and Jeep Grand Cherokee to bolster our winning mainstream lineup.”
