Indian Springfield launched at Rs. 30.6 lakh

Indian Motorcycle has launched the Springfield motorcycle in India at a price of Rs 30.6 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Springfield is powered by a 1,181cc, Thunder Stroke 111 engine that develops 138.9 Nm of torque @ 2,600 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Stopping power comes from dual 300 mm floating front disc brakes and a single 300 mm floating disc at the rear. Suspension duties are carried out by a telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear.

The Springfield measures 2,583 mm in length, 990 mm in width and 1,442 mm in height. It has a wheelbase measuring 1,701 mm, a ground clearance of 142 mm and a seat height of 660 mm. The bike has a fuel capacity of 20.8 litres.

Some of the features on the Springfield include a removable windshield, removable hard saddlebags, keyless start, ABS, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), cruise control and adjustable passenger floorboards.

The bike is named after the company’s headquarters in Springfield Massachusetts.
