Images: Toyota Innova Crysta on Indian roads

Thank you to BHPian Parthasarathig for posting these images! Heartfelt gratitude for sharing them other enthusiasts.

Toyota took the wraps off the Innova Crysta at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo. The MPV has now been spotted on Indian roads, giving us an idea of how it looks in everyday conditions. The all-new Innova will be sold with 2.4L & 2.8L diesel engines, along with a 2.0L petrol unit. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic.

The Innova Crysta is expected to come with more niceties such as leather interiors, ambient lighting, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, automatic climate control and a power adjustable driver seat to give it a more upmarket placement. While these features will appeal to private owners, fleet operators will be waiting to see what the lower grades offer and what prices Toyota will offer them at.

Toyota is likely to launch the Innova Crysta before May this year and though the inclusion of a petrol version may lower the starting price vis-à-vis the previous-gen Innova, overall, the Innova Crysta is expected to be a more expensive offering.
