Honda Jazz spotted at dealership ahead of launch

The next-generation Honda Jazz has been spotted at a dealership.

The car spotted has a thick, glossy black horizontal slat on its grille with a chrome line running below it. There is a honeycomb mesh grille for the air dam and a pair of round fog lamps. At the rear, there is a thick chrome strip on the tail gate, just below the windshield, running between the tail lamps. The car also has a roof-mounted spoiler, a rear wiper and alloy wheels.

The interiors of the Jazz are black, with silver inserts. The seats are upholstered in beige fabric and there are beige inserts on the door pads as well. The car spotted has a CVT transmission. It comes with a sport mode and paddle shifters placed behind the steering wheel.

The Jazz is expected to be available with a choice of two engines:

  • 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol developing 87 bhp and 109 Nm of torque
  • 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel producing 98 bhp and 200 Nm of torque

While the petrol version of the car will be available with a choice of manual and CVT automatic gearboxes, the diesel version will get only a manual transmission.

Honda is expected to launch the Jazz hatchback in India in July 2015.
