Honda electric scooter to have removable battery packs

Honda's new e-scooter will compete with the Ola S1, Ather Rizta, TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak.

Honda has dropped another teaser of its upcoming electric scooter for India. The latest video confirms that the new e-scooter will have removable batteries.

Honda’s first e-scooter for India is expected to share its underpinnings with the CUV e: that was unveiled at EICMA 2024. It has a swingarm-mounted electric motor, which will be powered by two removable battery packs placed under the seat.

The Honda e-scooter will have two riding modes: Standard and Sport. It will have a maximum range of 104 km on a single charge.

It has been speculated that Honda’s first electric scooter for India could be called Activa Electric. It will compete with the Ola S1, Ather Rizta, TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak.
