Harley-Davidson X440 launched in India at Rs 2.29 lakh

The top variant of the X440 comes with Bluetooth connectivity with turn-by-turn navigation.

Harley-Davidson has launched its most affordable model in the Indian market. The X440 is available in three variants priced at Rs 2.29 lakh, Rs 2.49 lakh and Rs 2.69 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively.

The Harley-Davidson X440 is a mid-capacity roadster. It features a circular LED headlamp, a single-pod instrument console, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank and a single-piece seat. The bike is equipped with a flat handlebar, forward-set footpegs and a single side-mounted exhaust.

The base variant is available in single-tone colours and wire-spoke wheels, while the mid-spec comes in dual-tone shades and is equipped with alloy wheels. The top variant of the X440 comes with diamond-cut alloys and Bluetooth connectivity with turn-by-turn navigation.

The X440 is powered by a 440cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine that produces 27 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 38 Nm @ 4,000 rpm. It uses a chain final drive similar to the Pan America.

The X440 is based on a tubular chassis and is equipped with upside-down forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. The bike rides on alloy wheels with 18-inch rims at the front and 17-inch at the rear. Braking is handled by discs supported by dual-channel ABS.
