Fuel pump failure in my 2021 Hyundai i20 N Line: Symptoms & Warnings

Now, I am sharing this because it did not come all of a sudden. There were warnings.

So, I faced my pump failure in my less-run 2021-end i20 NLine a couple of weeks ago. This was from the first batch of cars, probably the first one in North Bengal.

Now, I am sharing this because it did not come all of a sudden. There were warnings.

A few weeks before the actual event, whenever the car would go over some rumble strips/bumpers or a deepish pot-hole, I would hear a beep and the odometer would flash for a brief fraction of a second. No error lights at all on the dash. I took the car to my dealership, Berlia Hyundai, where they ran some diagnostics scans and it stopped the beep from coming. However, I suspect they just disabled the beep in the software scan (? is that even possible).

After this, the event actually occurred one evening on a Sunday night when I was returning from my clinic. Luckily, I was close to my home. Even though I called Hyundai road-side assistance and insisted they send me a flatbed, they sent a regular tow truck. I later hired a flatbed at my own cost! I did not want any damage to the car. Also, guys owing the DCT variants, have you got your towed on a flatbed or a regular crane (with front wheel locked)?
