Fitted extra 3-inch fog lamps on my Scorpio-N: Impressive light output!

This is 170W and produces 17000 Lumens combined. I have no way to measure these claims but all I can say is that the output is way better than stock.

BHPian SideSwipe recently shared this with other enthusiasts:

Hello Everyone,

Trust me, Scorpio N head lights are nothing to compliant about. It is very good in the city and in the highways, performs well up until the 80 to 100 KMPH in a well-marked highway. Here comes the variables – Speeds more the 100 kmhr, not well marked roads, bad weather – rains & foggy weather. I struggle to manage with even one of these variables and ironically, I had to make a night drive in late December with 2 of these variables– Rains and Unmarked roads. It was really scary indeed and I somehow managed to complete the drive with a lot of fear and anxiety. Ever since then, I started to explore options for improving the night drive visibility.

I had 3 main requirements:
1. Not to touch the existing setup in the name of upgrade.
2. No cutting / butchering the existing wiring or the bumper.
3. Decent highway performance.

Explored multiple options where slim lights fitted in between the grill slots (EV 600) but even here, we have to cut open one of the grill bars plus drilling holes to hold the light setup. Then explored light bars that can be filled above the number plate, but it was too after market-ish. Finally came across this new lower grill which can accommodate 3 inch fog lamps and it is a direct replacement to the stock grill. Now with the direction to move ahead, started scouting for the proper 3 inch fog lamps that would fit my expectations and after much deliberations, finalized HyperDrive 3 inch, dual laser projector LED fog lamps. This is 170W and produces 17000 Lumens combined. I have no way to measure these claims but all I can say is that the output is way better than stock. Found a good mechanic through recommendation of my friends and got these bad boys installed a month back. Really satisfied with the output and let the pictures do the talking now. Thanks for the read.
